White Gets Five

Ryan White has been dealt a five-game suspension by the league for his thump to the noggin of Flyers defenceman Kent Huskins.

I have no problem with this. Firstly, it’s a head shot situation, which is unacceptable considering the amount of concussions we see.

And secondly, the Canadiens don’t need a player who can lose his mind at times, take idiotic penalties, and cost our team.

Yes, the Habs could use the toughness. But someone who can be both tough AND smart. It’s not too much to ask.

Not to mention he has one point in 25 games.

  1. I wouldn’t be surprised, Danno. Overall, he’s been a liability and it’s too bad. He could’ve been a more important guy.

  2. I’m not sure White intended to injure Huskins or targeted his head. Maybe he did but maybe he didn’t. But the play happened fast and unfortunately Huskins got it on the chin.

  3. DK, if White gets 5 games why did Kadri get away with the hit on Eller? He drove him into the end boards & glass head first & then stood over him like a victorious Gadiator. I agree he’s a loose cannon & can’t seem to control himself & we all full well know what the coach thinks of him because of his previous mind farts! Off with his head said the Queen of Hearts.
