If It’s Tuesday, It Must Be…….

Olympia, Washington. And at least I think it’s Tuesday. Maybe it’s Sunday. Or Friday.

Tomorrow, the long sprint home to Powell River, which will be a hassle because of ferry lineups and winding roads once we get through Vancouver, not to mention serious traffic beforehand through Seattle, which is an hour north of here. And I just screwed up my beer drinking by eating too much.

But I need to see my cat. and she needs to see me. It’s quite a relationship.

In playoff action tonight, the Habs didn’t play.

In other action, Florida goes up two games to one with their 4-3 win over New Jersey. Nashville takes a commanding three games to one lead by beating Detroit 3-1. And Phoenix goes up two to one with a 3-2 win over Chicago.

I don’t know about you but I don’t really give two hoots about these games tonight. The good stuff involving Vancouver, L.A., Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, the Rangers and Ottawa, takes place tomorrow night. I hope I’m home in time for these. The games tonight are just filler for me, although I’m sure fans of these teams might take issue with this.

I wonder if Marc-Andre Fleury will let in another eight goals.

Below, Max Bentley used Olive’ On. And under that is what Dave in Nanaimo sent along. I believe that any chance one can get a Leafs shot in, one must take it.

TORONTO, ONTARIO (AP) – A seven-year-old Toronto, Ontario boy was at the center of a Toronto city courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the …degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Toronto Maple Leafs, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.
