“You always wonder whether guys are ready to pay the price in games like these. You wonder and then you’re afraid maybe a few of the guys won’t or can’t go higher and farther, and that could be enough to hurt you.”
So said then-forward and now assistant coach Kirk Muller after his team had defeated the [...]

It’s ten pm in Ottawa and most citizens have already been in bed for several hours because they’ve worked hard at their government desks all week and are pooped. Except for hockey fans, who stayed up later than normal to watch or listen to the big game, the Senators-Canadiens game. And especially Habs fans in Ottawa, who [...]

To Robert Lang, Mathieu Schneider, Alex Tanguay, Patrice Brisebois, and Mathieu Dandenault:
The Powell River Regals, a respected and long-serving senior men’s hockey team that has won not one but three Allan Cups in the last 12 years, is going through a re-building stage. Many of the veterans just can’t keep up any more. Many of the [...]

As Habs fans wait with baited breath to see who the team chooses for 18th pick of the first round in this 2009 entry draft, we also hear that Bob Gainey and company have decided to attempt to sign unrestricted free agents Saku Koivu, Alex Kovalev, Alex Tanguay, Mathieu Schneider, and Mike Komisarek, who’s been [...]

What the hell’s going on? It’s been more than ten days now, and not one bit of malicious, nutty, silly, dangerous, disturbing, crazy, possibly true, rumour mill madness from the Canadiens’ camp.
Oh, RDS is saying that Larry Robinson might be interested in the coaching job, but that’s pretty well it. I don’t get it. There’s [...]

I knew my secret vodka and garlic concoction mixed with a few drops of milk and moved around every few days was going to work. First Mathieu Schneider drinks it, and presto, he’s up and skating and scoring! Now Bob Gainey has suggested that Andrei Markov could be ready for the playoffs! But I need to [...]

Mathieu Schneider has gone from out for the season to out for one game, as it appears he’ll be suiting up for tonight’s tilt in Boston.
This is tremendous news. Now, can Andrei Markov, Francis Bouillon, and Robert Lang drink some of this magic potion too?.

The theme for today is – You can’t win every game. The greatest of the great lost from time to time. Often, sometimes. And tonight, Montreal continued the tradition of losing from time to time. By losing to the Ottawa Senators.
Grrr. Shitfuck.
You could just feel something was missing tonight, and it was obvious what it [...]

The burning question now, as the Habs prepare for the Ottawa Senators Monday evening, is what is the condition of Mathieu Schneider and Andrei Markov? Both left early from the Toronto game, and both are needed in a big way. Another huge understatement that I’m prone to coming up with from time to time.
