  1. To this day I do not think hockey fans appreciate and understand the combination of “power and speed” Bobby Hull displayed on the ice. His slapshot was measured at 118 mph and he was clocked at 29 mph in flat out skating speed . In NHL skills competition today I think just over 100 mph is the hardest slapshot recorded (Chara I believe)….

    I also witnessed Hull live in the 1960’s in full flight down the left wing after receiving a pass from Mikita and then pounding the puck in the net past an unflinching goalie…..amazing
