Peter Zezel Loses His Battle

Peter Zezel, who had a fine 15 year NHL career with Philadelphia, St. Louis, Washington, Toronto, Dallas, New Jersey, and Vancouver, has passed away after losing his battle with a rare blood disorder called hemolytic anemia. He was only 44. This blog would like to convey to Peter’s family our sincere condolences. Peter Zezel was a great and important player for all the teams he played with.

  1. To the Zezel family, my deepest condolences. Peter was a wonderful person. I remember years ago when Peter and my brother, Derrick Smith played for the Philedelphia Flyers, Peter was always very kind, friendly and would go out of his way to make me feel welcome around the rink. Peter will always be remember fondly by our whole family and our hearts go out to you at this very sad time.
