Montreal Canadiens 2027 First Round Draft Pick Is Born!

Next week I’ll be in Calgary to scout and assess the brand new 2027 Montreal Canadiens draft pick.

My daughter just had a little baby boy, named Cameron Ryan, and he joined the world at a nice nine pounds (almost), and is also quite long.

So he could be a big boy, which means he may either play defence for the Habs, or become a valued power forward.

I’m going to teach him about the Rocket and Beliveau and the Flower and all those Stanley Cups and the Forum and how I wanted to play for the Habs but became only a smallish yet shifty right winger for Byers Bulldozers Bantam team instead.

I think I’m going to call him Rocket when my daughter and son-in-law aren’t around.

If you need an autograph of this future power forward/defenceman Montreal Canadien, I’ll be able to do this for you next week.

  1. Congrats, Dennis! Given that, according to you, your daughter is pure and unsullied, maybe the `miraculous’ little dood will be able to do somewhat more than skate, shoot, stickhandle and check – with his head up, of ocurse. Hmmm, will he provide Lawrence with proof positive of the error of his `fan’ ways? Will he at long last see the light and convert?

  2. Congrats! You’ll have a lot of work to do to make sure he isn’t turned into a Flames fan, especially once he gets to school. But I’m confident in your ability to show him the way.

I vote for the power forward route though. We haven’t had one in forever.

  3. My daughter is, of course, pure as the driven snow, so frankly, I don’t know how this happened. Unless it was an immaculate conception. That would explain it. Yeah, that’s it – immaculate conception.
And yes, the Flames thing is a concern. I’ll just teach him that all Flames players deep down really want to be Montreal Canadiens, and maybe that will work.
Maybe I’ll just convince him that the Flames suck and the Habs don’t.

  4. Congratulations Dennis to you and all your loved ones and to the newest Habs fan!
Keep saying GO HABS GO…..GO HABS GO…GO HABS GO…
to the little guy and he’ll be just fine being a HAbs fan for life! 🙂

  5. Congratulations Dennis, at 9 pounds i think the canucks should sign him right now, he’ll probably make the team as one of there biggest players.
