Let’s Get Ready To Rumble!!

Finally, things are about to kick off and it’s about time. Summer is great but that was then and this is now.

I fully expect a big year from Les Canadiens.  They’re a fine-looking team and they only have to stay healthy.

And don’t forget, management, a good stick boy could mean less injuries. (I don’t know how it could mean less injuries but it sounds good).

I also want to take this time to say thanks to those who click on my site. I’m really grateful to all of you. And don’t hesitate to comment. We’re a friendly bunch here and everyone is respected.

And an extra thank you to those who checked in throughout the summer when everything was so quiet you could almost hear Brad Marchand rummaging through garbage and being chased by cats.

Now – GO HABS GO! Start by clobbering the Leafs.

  1. So this is definitely my comeback year of spending all my free time and homework time to hockey reading/watching/criticizing. Feels good to be back in the loop. Can’t wait to watch the habs kick the shit out of the laffs tomorrow.

How do Toronto Maple Leafs hockey players brain cells die?
    Alone.

  2. God I’d love it if we won by a huge margin…let’s say 8 goals at least.

I’ve been waiting so long for the season to start that I feel like I’m dreaming.

  3. Dennis, my beers are chilled and I’m ready for a new year of hockey. Loved your comment about Brad Marchand.

  4. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOT-BALL!!!!!!!!

WE’RE GONNA KICK ASS THIS YEAR!! THE STARS ARE IN ALIGNMENT (meaning Camm, Price, Subban, Gomez (lol), Cole, Max Pac, Gionta. Too good to fail.

  5. Diane, hope you enjoy the season in a big way. But don’t forget, it’s Montreal’s turn. Hope you’re doing well, Nancy too.

  6. Mayo, Gomez is going to add a lot this year, I’m convinced. And PK will be even better. They all will be. C’mon, drop the puck!

  7. So it turns out Matt Lombardi from my hometown hudson is suiting up for the leafs tonight. It’s too bad that I have to hate him now.

  8. Gillis, I used to sort of pass through Hudson in my truck. Didn’t Larry Robinson live there where he played polo? And yes, now you hate Lombardi.

  9. I didn’t know about Larry Robinson but according to wikipedia you’re right. Its also the hometown and still is the home of Larry Smith. and also the home of Jacques Demers and PJ Stock. Demers (who is apparently a terrible golfer) was a nice addition to the town, Stock… not so much

  10. That’s a really fine picture of that smallish-yet-shifty right winger.

He looks like he’d be the best stick boy ever before he becomes the future owner of the Habs.

Attention Geoff Molson and Pierre Gauthier: To reduce the frequency of injuries on the Habs you must hire a quality stick boy now! It’s the only missing piece of the puzzle that separates us from the big prize.

Only five and a half hours to go.

    Can’t wait.

  11. I hope they’re listening, Danno. We have to reduce injuries and a good stick boy is the best way. Go Habs!

  12. Hey Dennis,Go Habs Go…all the way, just got in,missed the first two but waiting for the third and as Randy Bachman just sang,’WE JUST GOT BACK THEJjETS, BBBBABY WE JUST GOT BACK THE JETS”
