Hi Dennis: I really enjoyed Metro when he played for Boston. Always worked hard, gritty guy digging out the pucks but played within the rules. Very nice to fans, too. Sorry we couldn’t keep him. You Habs take good care of him. He’s a winner and a keeper. I don’t care which team he’s on, I will always cheer for him. (Yes, even on November 5th!)

And that’s the kind of team I like. Blue collar with a few stars thrown in. You’re right. Metropolit should fit right in this year. I’m not sure how much he did last year. The focus was definitely on other players.

I think Metropolis is also a keeper because he’ll fit the new “personality” of the team…. which I suspect will be more “work hard”.

I remember when he was first picked up by the Habs, in an interview he said it was like a dream come true. He’s a keeper.

Thanks for that. It’s really nice to hear that’s he’s a good guy. There’s way too many boneheads in pro sports. And he could’ve gone either way. Hooray for hockey.
