He Still Has To Work On His Shot

His slapshot isn’t very hard and he can’t stop or turn on a dime just yet. And he has trouble taking instructions at practice the way Guy Lafleur did.

But all this will come. He’s only four days old.

All in all, I’m happy with his development. He’s already bigger than Brian Gionta and David Desharnais, and he doesn’t cry as much as Mike Richards.

Here’s my brand new grandson Adam, the 2029 Montreal Canadiens first-round draft pick, at two days old.

Indulge me, please. I’m proud.

  1. Dennis, Adam is a cutie! Congratulations again to the entire Kane clan for this bundle of joy. I see Adam is mastering the art of the afternoon nap!

    Love his jammies, too.

  2. He looks great! I see that little fist there…he’s already dreaming about his future as a tough guy with great scoring ability. Or perhaps raising the torch high as he gets set to play in a playoff game. And those chubby cheeks are so pinchable! You’ve got to get him to become a flag bearer or something Dennis.

I’m looking forward to the 2029 draft. 😀

  3. lol, you are hilarious Dennis. What a beautiful child. a child that almost has more hair than you and me combined.

  4. Adam will be the most handsome Hab of all time for sure Dennis!

And I think his little fist is practicing how to hoist Lord Stanley’s mug.

    Olé! Olé, Olé, Olé!

All the best to Mom, Pop and the entire Kane clan.

  5. Thanks, Rookie. And I know what you mean by the saying it about all babies. There’s a funny Seinfeld episode about just that.

  6. He’s very cute, and you’re very funny: “He’s already bigger than Brian Gionta and David Desharnais, and he doesn’t cry as much as Mike Richards.”

  7. Dennis, my mom (who was a doctor) was wondering what he weighed in at. (If you don’t mind sharing.)

And would you believe it, I will be almost 39 by then. My birthday’s in October so I’ll get to celebrate by watching Adam putting some rubber in the net.

  8. Thanks Phil. He’s going to be a goal scorer who can scrap with the best of them. I don’t think this is too much to ask.
