Two back, one to go. The diabolical master plan to win the Stanley Cup using only a full and healthy squad is slowly coming into place.
Roman Hamrlik, the slightly ancient (36) defenceman for the Canadiens, is ready to rock Wednesday night against Tampa Bay.
Hamrlik is definitely slowing down but makes up for any minor problems like age and lack of speed with experience. He knows (usually) not to get caught, when to make a simple pass that could lead to great things, and is probably, almost certainly, a valuable role model for young blueliners like Ryan O’Byrne, PK Subban, and Alexandre Picard.
All we need now is Andrei Markov back and in no time flat we’ll catch that first place team, the one in the penthouse – those Toronto Maple Leafs.
Thanks to Danno for sending the pic of the great Hammer sign.
