Habs In Sunshine State
March 9, 2013 in Alex Galchenyuk, Florida Panthers, Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning Tags: Alex Galchenyuk, Rene Bourque
The Habs were just in the state of Florida not even a month ago, and at that time they beat Tampa 4-3 in a shootout Third Period Implosion to open things up, then zipped over to the opposite coast and squeaked out a 1-0 win over the Panthers in overtime Bourque and Galchenyuk Get ‘Er Done.
In Tampa, the Canadiens had held a lovely 3-0 lead in the third period before letting the other team in the back door, and finally pulled it out in a shootout. In Sunrise, it took overtime before the team could beat Jose Theodore and grab their two points.
So it was all quite ugly, but it was still two big wins in this land of palm trees, which set them off on a five-game streak, and regardless of how it plays out this time around, we’ll take another four points, thank you very much.

How come the oranges were so lousy this year, at least in my part of the world?
Dennis, you should plant an orange tree beside your banana tree

Danno, out here, the good California oranges stopped coming in and we were stuck with South African oranges for months and they weren’t nearly as good. But the California ones are now back, finally.

We’re in Tampa, too! And we have tickets! Guess I’ll just head over to the arena and grab two points and a pint!

I missed the 1st and 2nd period. It was such a beautiful, SUNNY day here in Montreal. I spent my time outdoor all day enjoying the sun and fell asleep right before the game. I only awoke at the 3rd period. Wow, great game by our men!!!

Marjo, it was a real nice comeback. It’s night and day from last year and it feels great.
