Game Time Reminder

February 1, 2013 in Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators Tags: , , ,

Don’t forget – Saturday’s Buffalo-Habs game starts at 2:00 pm ET (or 11 am PT), and the same for Sunday’s clash between the Sens and Habs. The Super Bowl on Sunday, from New Orleans, kicks off at 6:30 ET (I think).

In the meantime, some Canada stuff.

Canadians consume more Kraft Dinner per capita than any other country in the world.

How many Canadians does it take to change a lightbulb? None. We don’t try to change them. We accept them as they are.

“When I’m in Canada, I feel this is what the world should be like.” Jane Fonda

“I had no idea Canada could be so much fun.” Bruce Willis

“The cool thing about being famous is traveling. I have always wanted to travel across seas, like to Canada and stuff.”

“When they said Canada, I thought it was up in the mountains somewhere.” Marilyn Monroe

“I’ve been to Canada, and I’ve always gotten the impression that I could take the country over in about two days.” Jon Stewart (Go ahead, Stewart, take your best shot).

Here’s a few more for you Dennis:

“Growing up in Canada, I didn’t watch football much.” Sidney Crosby

“Canada is hockey.” – Mike Weir

“The Canadian franchises and Canada as a market for NHL hockey has always been a priority for us.” Gary Bettman

“Canada’s the best country in the world.” – Justin Bieber

“I don’t even know what street Canada is on.” Al Capone

Famous–maybe not the smartest- folks make good Canada jokes- for the Readers Digest. How many folk came to this great land for the oppurtunities to raise their families via honest hard work!! Freedom of various oppresions and restrictions. My folks included in 1948 from Holland. People from all over made this country what it is and people from U.S. of America just don’t kapitch what we have. Met lots of those air-heads while in the Yukon. Then there’s the rest of Americans—staying home supplying the needs of their families and donating to aid the needy corners of the globe. Love the jokes tho because we can make a silk purse from a sow’s ear. Oh Bostons’s calling out the Sabres ’cause Thorton got pummeled last nite. Poor guy, dropped his gloves thinking it was Ryan Miller!! Mixed feelings on the low five—ses some of both sides but kinda enjoyed the LIFE rather than rigamortus of Martin.

Kraft Dinner is awesome. I find the best way to have it is to not add anything to it but the powder. Don’t add milk or butter, just powder the son of a gun and stir. I love it that way.

You can also make a KD lasagna dish that’s not too bad.

I do have to say though that I cannot stand those awful KD commericals they have now with those two jerks living together and having battles over it. Meh.

Darth, I find just a little butter to it for works for me. But no milk.

Peter, we certainly do have a wonderful country. The weather isn’t perfect but regardless, I’m proud to be a Canadian.

Danno, Weir’s comment is true. That’s why, after the lockout, the rinks are full in Canada. Canada is hockey.
