Frank Selke Jr. was a person of my youth, a man I would see in team photos and as a Hockey Night in Canada host. A man who was a part of my whole mystical childhood love affair with hockey and the Montreal Canadiens.
Mr. Selke passed away today at age 83.

What’s remarkable is the Canadiens were classy even when they turned down a little boy’s request.
