Our teenaged hockey wizards play later today against the Russians in one of two semifinal contests held on this dreary Saturday.

Russia, like Canada, always seems to have one player every year in the World Juniors who is destined to become a star. For Canada it’s John Tavares. Russia boasts Nikita Filatov, an explosive forward who follows in the path of players like Ilya Kovalchuk, Alex Ovechkin, and Evgeny Malkin who often played like men against boys in the World Juniors.
If your wife or husband needs you to go visit the in-laws, fake being sick and stay home and watch this game. If you have a hot date, cancel it. Your hormones aren’t going anywhere. In fact, is there any reason in the world not to watch this?
