Bruins’ Sharpshooter Phil Kessel Has Mono

Phil Kessel is out of the Bruins’ lineup because he has mononucleosis. Normally this would call for some sort of smart-ass remark.
But Kessel is one player I’m not making silly little jokes about. He fought cancer and won, he’s had enough sickness in his young life, and so I’m saying to him now, speedy recovery.

This is the first time I’ve witnessed any sympathy on you part when an opposing team’s player is injured or sick. I think you’re warming up into a decent fellow.

Mono sucks too. I don’t like the Bruins at all but I admire Kessel’s talent. And the fact he survived cancer.

So, Lawrence, where were U and your delicate sensibilities when Dennis was openly abusing Gaston with callous abandon?
