And They Are……

March 12, 2013 in Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs Tags:

Can you identify all the players in this photo? If you weren’t around for the Original Six, it might be a bit trickier. But you can do it. I have faith.

Number 11 has been worn by some really great, as well as some not so great players. It’s nice to see Brendon Gallagher restoring it from its previous holder.

Claude Larose once scored nine goals in three games for the Habs:

Returning from an injury in 1974, Larose was thrown onto a line with the Mahovlich brothers, Frank and Peter, and scored four goals against Pittsburgh’s Gary Inness. He got a hat trick the next game while playing the right wing with Jacques Lemaire and Steve Shutt. Paired with them again, he got two goals the following game.

“I think that’s still a Canadiens’ record, nine goals in three games,” Larose said recently.
