And The Oscar For “Best Picture” Goes To….

I’ve put some nice pictures up on this site. Bobby Orr and Queen Elizabeth in Habs uniforms come to mind for example. There’s been a bunch. But for some reason this old magazine cover has something special about it.

I don’t know why, but I see Brad Marchand when I look at it.

  1. What a beautiful picture. I think I’d kill to get the original painting.

I really love hockey paintings and this one is a real treat.

  2. Hobo, I’m not sure but I’ll see if I can find out later. I’m just on my way out the door to go to work. In the back of mind, though, I think they might have.

  3. Darth, I agree. I think it’s a real beauty. And doesn’t it remind you a little of Marchand?

  4. Hobo, I quickly looked up photos of both Eddie Shore and Milt Schmidt and neither wore yellow pants at different parts of their career. So I think you’re right. Unless it’s was just one year or something.

  5. the guy with the yellow pants is biting the other guys finger……… so that’s where that all started.

  6. Sorry Dennis, this doesn’t remind me of Marchand at all. You may still be hung over:

    1. This guy is better looking.

    2. He’s taller.

    3. He looks smarter.

    4. He doesn’t look like a total douchebag.

    5. His nose is about 7 times smaller.

    6. He’s not trying to dive.

The reason for all the yellow may be due to a printing error.

  7. DK, the painter just wanted to show just what yellow bastards the Booins are!
    Cheers from the East!!!!
